Continued Discussion...

Comments are at 200 and some can't view them when they reach that high so please feel free to copy and paste comments here that you are responding to.

A new post will be up shortly.

Sadly, Dana is taking a break from blogging for a bit, hopefully he will be back soon or at least still join in the discussion here but in the meantime if anyone is interested in joining the ranks here to help moderate comments and occasionally post an article or two if you feel comfortable doing so please email me at torigifford@icloud.com. I could use the help especially until school starts back up.

  1. I believe with all my being Ayla is out there alive, and we need to continue looking for her, and speaking for her. I am sure if she could tell us one thing it would be, don't give up on me. Lets bring her home, and she can receive the Justice and love she deserves.

    1. Hey Dana...I'm sorry to hear you are taking a break.

I hope there is nothing more to this news than just wanting a breather.

It feels very sudden and unexpected.

You have many friends here, Dana.

      Please remember that.

    2. Dana a break is a good thing. Right now it's mostly blog wars and that's not helping Ayla. But then again you help keep things focused. You come back when you're ready and take care of yourself.

    3. Dana,

You have been the BEST darn spam deleter anyone could ever hope for. :)
I will echo McKee's thought, I hope there is nothing more with your news, other than you just need a break.
      I certainly understand a break.

I also want to echo Foil's thought, I always appreciated your efforts in keeping us focused. That being, focused on Ayla, and why we're hear. You did a GREAT job.

I'll look forward to seeing & reading your comments, when you can make them.
Good thoughts and best wishes to you & for you.

    4. I agree with all of you. Dana will be sorely missed and this blog won't be anywhere near the same without his levelheadedness and keeping us all focused on what really matters, Ayla. We have formed a really cohesive group here, for the most part, and Dana has been the glue keeping us all together. He was sent an invitation to rejoin the blog so I hope he will use it and come back sooner rather than later but if he chooses not to, I respect him enough to respect his decision.

    5. Dana, I hope everything is okay in your life. Ditto to what has been said. Hope to hear from you soon.

  2. Anonymous 1, who are you responding to in your last few posts last night? Who are Lee and Mr. Phelps? Just curious since I don't see any corresponding posts to which you're replying...not that it takes much to confuse me ;)

    1. Michelle,

Very understandable why you'd be confused....It's not you. :)
To understand my last few comments you'd have to read the newest post at U4A, and some of their comments from last night.
Mr. Phelps- You'd have to read there to see where that comes from.
Lee- is a commenter there that ask a couple questions of me, that I responded to here.

    2. Ah, okay. That makes sense now. I don't read over there. Thanks for the explanation!

  3. Penny on U4A: Back to the “objective” posters: It is so hard to figure out what they think happened to Ayla, except that, again instinctively, from the gut, they think Ayla is alive —- and hale and hearty, presumably well cared for. Ayla , therefore, needs the minimum of worry over her condition.

    *********

Wrong again, Penny. You make many assumptions.

I do not think Ayla is alive. I hope she is, but it's doubtful.

The reason why you can figure out what *I* think happened to Ayla is because I do not know and I will not fill in the blanks with speculations and aspersions. I do know something terrible happened to Ayla! She was on "Justin's watch," yes. I think it's likely Justin and those in the house know what happened. But....ready for this Penny? MAYBE Trista knows what happened, too!

    I don't know.

    1. Penny,

I being one who believes Ayla could have been abducted, and sense that she is ALIVE, have no desire to speculate on what may be, or may not be her fate, at the hands of whomever may have abducted her.
Writing about those things, helps Ayla is what way?

  4. U4A: The fact that you call this blog "the new pink blog" shows how little you support Ayla supporters and have your own agenda. Name calling, MM making a whole post intended to disparage people who care. Losers.

    1. That is what happens when you choose to continue to write blog posts with nothing new to write about, you start attacking others who may think differently than you do.

I am glad no one here writing blog posts have felt the need to do the same.

    2. Thanks, Anonymous 1. I have said before that I was taking a break and always came back...but usually it was because Jeff had some "news." I really want to stick to my guns and wait until there is something to discuss other than the Blue Blog and its cult following. ;)

    5. No need to worry, Anonymous1.

Foil is known to take a break when the BS meter spikes.

The "Willful Ignorance" post was offensive and mean-spirited. It was penned to be offensive and mean-spirited. It was intended to malign and ridicule those of us that dare question hysteria-propelled witchhunts

Last I checked, no person of interest has been named in this case. Trista has not been cleared as a suspect. Justin, Elisha, Courtney, Phoebe and Derek are free to come and go as they please without restriction.

Foil will return when the BS meter is recalibrated to detect truth and facts.

  6. Thanks you are the greatest kindest people, I feel close to you all. I had a talk with a very good friend last night about my taking a break. I don't think I will be on the sidelines long as the talk helped to rebuild some of my confidence. I know that I can't give up on Ayla, and I wasn't asked if I thought I was able, only if I was available. My friend helped me to focus on the main objective, and not what I thought were my short comings. Thanks again for the encouragement and friendship.

    1. I need to say this before my own break: Please don't ever let the Blue Blog get you down, but that's what their mission seems to be- making those who disagree with them question their very goodness, as if we are somehow less human than they are. It's OK to stand alone, too, when you have an opinion that's unique.

    2. I am glad to hear that Dana. You have a good friend. You are far too valuable to slip away. It would not be the same without you, any of you really. Let me know when you are ready so I can restore things as they were.

  7. How is it that they're calling us the new pink blog when they are being jerky to people that post here? I read both blogs - well sometimes I "skim" both blogs.

If they're doing the attacking aren't they acting like the "new pink blog"?

    Maybe I'm missing something.

We all have different ideas about what happened to Ayla. We all can't let the quest for justice go. We all care -or we wouldn't be here.

I think we should all try to work together - couldn't a lot more be accomplished?

I'm very sorry some have to take a break. That is a bummer!!! :( :( :(

  8. I find it very interesting that the very people that kicked Dana's ass yesterday are happy to kiss it today.

    What gives?

Dana raised poignant questions regarding the circumstances of Ayla being placed in Justin's care.

As a consequence, Dana was jumped.

Not only was Dana jumped, but he took it hard. Hard enough to submit his resignation as a moderator and question his own worthiness.

That is the essence of bullying.

And before you jump on me, John...I spoke loud and hard when certain people called you vile names (that I will not repeat) with no basis. So did others.

We did so because it was the right thing to do. We did so because we want to be able to look at ourselves in the mirror and like what we see in our reflection.

We did so because we are decent people.

  9. @ Lee from U4A,

I don't feel that optimism and willful ignorance is the same at all.
Someone who is optimistic realizes that there are unfavorable facts and conditions, but chooses to work toward a favorable outcome.
Someone that is willfully ignorant refuses to acknowledge the same unfavorable facts and conditions.

As far as I'm concerned we ALL (those who comment here and there) are VERY AWARE of the facts and conditions surrounding Ayla's case.
I don't think any one of us are willfully ignorant.
In my opinion there is a VAST difference in the way people process those SAME facts and conditions. The problem isn't that people are willfully ignoring, they are processing differently.

I understand why some feel the post is an attack.
What was the purpose of the post, if not to imply that there are willfully ignorant people following Ayla's case?

  10. Wow, I haven't read or commented for 2 days and the world fell apart...

Dana, I am glad your break was short lived, as Mckee (and others)says, you are valued!!!!

Foil, it's unfortunate that you feel that you have to take a break, but very understandable, I get the BS meter thing....way too much BS going on....

I don't "read" at the other site, just peruse every now and then, and find it quite offensive most of the time. I am another of those "believers" that truly believe that Ayla is alive and well out there somewhere. I am NOT willfully ignorant, I chose to look at the evidence from all angles. As a kid I heard a statement "there is more than one way to skin a cat" which means the same information could possibly mean more than one thing. I think the "evidence" could mean something more or different than "death at the hands of her father" for Ayla. Actually I am currently working on a post of MY theory, which I hope to have done by the end of the week.

Dana, Mckee, Foil, Looking, Get Real and the rest of you, keep on speaking out for Ayla, she needs us all!!!!
