A Big Warm Welcome

I know that a few new blogs have opened up in the last few weeks and I have read at most of them. I know how hard it is to maintain a blog, especially one with that covers a highly interesting and emotional case like Ayla's case. I have nothing but admiration for anyone who takes on this challenge. It can be highly rewarding but it also takes an emotional toll on you. I was so grateful when Truth4Ayla asked to help, and then Grace4Ayla, and finally JMH. The most rewarding thing I have seen since doing this blog is how much people care. So many people come to this blog and others to offer support for Ayla and her family, they fight for justice. They pass out flyers, spread awareness, and pray for her.

I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to interact with so many of you and many of you I will consider my friend long after this case has been resolved. I still have hope that Ayla will be returned to her mother, happy and unharmed. Someone posted a link on my blog earlier today and I had seen the link before but always got sidetracked and did not click on it. I finally did today and was pleasantly surprised. This blogger has defended me without even knowing me personally. This anonymous blogger using the handle "Obscure Sucks" has exposed the vile JSTL blogger for what she is. A fraud. I urge you all to support the blog http://startthelies.blogspot.ca/2012/04/charla-y-anderson-pawlata.html#comment-form

I also want to thank some of the other bloggers who have devoted their time and efforts in spreading awareness for Ayla.

Adam Doyon is an amazing blogger who has done so much for Ayla. At almost 15 years old, he should be an inspiration to us all. Please also join me in supporting Adam and reading at his blog. He has put in countless hours at his blog and making posters, ribbons, and spreading the word in hopes of getting Ayla home.  http://whereisayla.blogspot.com/ Adam also is a member of Lost N Missing here is his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003700524498

Josh is another new blogger who has taken the blogosphere by storm with his no nonsense allowed blog. He is not scared to ask the tough questions and to cut through the bullcrap.  http://aylastillmissingnotkidnapped.blogspot.com/

Peter Hyatt's blog Statement Analysis was the blog that inspired me to write my own blog. I know many of you are already loyal readers there but for those of you who have not been there here is the link to that blog
http://seamusoriley.blogspot.com/

We can't forget Shannie and Boo Kat. They are the pioneers of telling it like it is. http://talkinshitwithshannieandboo.blogspot.com/

There are also many facebook pages out there and I am sorry if I miss some.

KJ runs two great sites and does so much for Ayla on and off the scene
https://www.facebook.com/MissinginMaine
https://www.facebook.com/ArmchairDetectives

She also is a co admin on https://www.facebook.com/TogetherForAyla. I also am a co admin on that page along with Leisha C. and Angela H. although I have not been able to be as active on there as I would like to be due to time constraints.

Angela H. runs the This Little Light of Maine open facebook page and have done a lot to spread awareness for Ayla and made countless posters, distributed pens, bracelets, and were instrumental in getting the billboards up across the country. https://www.facebook.com/aylalight

Ayla's Angels are at 1000 angels. To become one click on this link https://www.facebook.com/AylaReynoldsLaurieBingham

Tim Caya's page was one of the first facebook pages devoted to Ayla http://www.facebook.com/Help.Find.Ayla

I know I am probably forgetting some of the great blogs out there and that is not my intention. I wanted to give everyone recognition for their hard work and if I forgot someone I apologize. If you comment below I will gladly add your name on the list. I am amazed daily at the perseverance by you all. I have seen a few blogs come and go just as quickly. It is hard work and it is emotional work. Thank you all for all you do.

**I want to apologize for not adding Ashley P's pages. That was an oversight on my part. I visit and participate on those pages too. Sorry Ashley!

There is also another page, not sure who runs it  Find Ayla Reynolds
https://www.facebook.com/groups/216565101760457/

Again I know there are many pages out there that I am forgetting and I am sorry in advance.
I did not necessarily forget Answers for Ayla, Jeff and Trista are taking a well deserved break from answering questions and their traffic will reroute here for the time being. Thank you all!

I find the whole thing very strange, and something is just not right about it.

    1. I, too, was stunned to see TTLOM listed on the "recommended" blog list.

I think Tori is exercising fairness and balance. No doubt she cringed and grimaced when including TTLOM.

Tori is far more kind and tolerent than I. TTLOM, Angela, and Heidi have an agenda that could be the prototype to the "parallel lying" theory. TTLOM uses Ayla like a cheap prop to promote Justin.

    2. I think J4A is taking the high road. IF TLLOM has helped keep Ayla in the public eye, then great... (all personal issues aside).

    3. I am not appauled at all by Tori including AH. Tori is one of the fairest people I know but when it comes to keeping Aylas name out in the Public, she will not hesitate! We may not agree with AH or the actions of TLLOM, but the discussions they generate keep Aylas name in the media. Tori has and will do whatever is in Aylas best interest.

  10. Thank you Tori for the wonderful blog and for the "thanks". I totally agree, there are a lot of good people out praying and doing what they can to help find Ayla. Although we may not all agree when it comes to what may have happened, we can all agree that Ayla needs to be found. Everything done by all of the people you mentioned is for just that, finding out what happened to Ayla and hopefully, bringing her home.

There are many who are fighing from different sides of the arena and that's ok. We do not have to think the same, or believe the same to care about Ayla.

In the end, what the truth is will be what the truth is and nothing that any of us think will change the truth. I pray that the truth is told soon and that those who are involved in Ayla's disappearance are punished for there crimes against Ayla, her family and all of us! - KJ

  14. Tori, I'm confused! On March 24, you penned the scathing EXPOSE ON THE TTLOM CULT where you revealed that TTLOM was a total sham. You corroborated your position with cut & paste posts from the exclusive, secretive, elite closed group. You exposed to us here Heidi and Angela's true colors and the group's blind loyalty to Justin via trashing Trista.

I'm glad that you and Angela have mended fences, but I missed the memo on how that transpired. You now collaborate together?

I continue to have great misgivings about TTLOM, and am most curious about your change of heart. Is it the billboards that are scattered as far away from New England as you can get?

    Please advise!

    1. For the record, Angela and I have not mended fences and I still stand behind the post I did on the TTLOM private group. I added them to this list because despite the particulars of who committed the crime, they are committed to bringing Ayla home and I stand behind that.

    2. Got it, Tori!

I just thought it a little strange that you would shepherd readers over to a site that once tried to make a buck on Ayla. That whole fiasco still stings for me.

If TTLOM's intent is to truly bring Ayla home, even if that means Justin will be locked up for life, I'm good with that.

      Thanks for the clarification.

  15. Has anyone gone over to the "other" blog lately? If you go, look under the caption "AYLA", then scroll down, there are some comments from someone named "Pogeman". I don't know who he is, but he says he's not a psychic, but has had some kind of spiritual interactions w/Ayla. He tells some stories, but the one I found interesting, which is the last one, is a story of Windsocks and how Ayla new all about them. Anyway, I found it interesting and looked up the history of Windsocks. I just really thought they were decorations until I found the following on Wikipedia:

"Windsock From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaJump to: navigation, search Not to be confused with Winsock.

WindsockA windsock is a conical textile tube designed to indicate wind direction and relative wind speed. Windsocks typically are used at airports and at chemical plants where there is risk of gaseous leakage. They are sometimes located alongside highways at windy locations.

Wind direction is the opposite of the direction in which the windsock is pointing (note that wind directions are conventionally specified as being the compass point from which the wind originates; so a windsock pointing due north indicates a southerly wind). Windspeed is indicated by the windsock's angle relative to the mounting pole; in low winds, the windsock droops; in high winds it flies horizontally.

Per FAA standards referenced below, a 15-knot (28 km/h; 17 mph) wind will fully extend the properly functioning windsock. A 3-knot (5.6 km/h; 3.5 mph) breeze will cause the properly functioning windsock to orient itself according to the wind.

At many airports, windsocks are lighted at night, either by flood lights on top surrounding it or with one mounted on the pole shining inside it.

Windsocks are also popular with children and can have bright and colourful designs. These windsocks are not particularly functional and mostly for decoration, however they can be used as a basic guide to wind direction and speed."

After reading the above, I was thinking....wasn't one of the outings that Justin and friends first took Ayla to was an airport of some type to watch an aviation show? I could be wrong, but it's been knawing at me for a few days and decided to mention something. If this guy is for real, it could be a clue of some sort.

My question is though, if that "other" blog doesn't want people to talk about Ayla as if she is deceased, why is she keeping the post up from this person? Does a person have to pass over in order to connect with their spirit?

    Replies
    1. I was thinking that or the arm sling... then I started thinking of something else.. if your child was in a cast, and it was wrapped in an ace bandage- would you put her to bed with the sling on.. or off? Off right? Yet she was wearing the sling when she came up missing..??? Am I wrong? What do you think?

      Delete
    2. PB, it does seem strange to put her to bed with the actual sling. Was she def. reported missing with the sling, or just cast (I can't remember). Plus there was never any mention of the sling from Justin and Co., just mention that she was sometimes taking the cast off (which is vague and a little strange to me anyway).

Just a brief thought. Ayla was probably big/old enough for this to not be an issue, but would a sling, in bed, be a choking/strangulation hazard? I don't really think thats what happened to her, but just a question.

I never even thought of her going to bed with the sling on, until you mentioned it. I DO think that is odd.

      Delete
    3. PB I thought the same thing as soon as I realized how long it had been since the arm break and that she was spending time out of the cast. I wonder if they found an ace bandage and wonder if it's related.

      Delete
    4. PB - Just my experience but, when my oldest broke his arm, the cast was not to get wet. I assumed it would disolve or at least get soft and fall apart. I was also told to take the sling off at night to prevent choking and the cast would support the arm sufficiently. The sling though is a definite possibility. I was wondering if maybe Aylas dada or maybe a blanket could also be a possiblity. If the people in the house wanted it to look like kidnapping, they would probably bring some personnal items to hide with Ayla.

      Delete
    5. I agree with most of that John, except her dada (doggie). I believe that was left/lost at Jessica's house.

    7. Abby, it's sad and upsetting to think of all these things. :'( I just hope it is something helpful, to get her case moving forward.

      Delete
    8. Kit, the sling was always on the missing posters in the beginning.. that's all I know about that. John- good point about the cast, but I think parts of it would come off her arm and may be found. Also, if the "kidnappers" were trying to be quiet and not turn lights on- they would not look for the sling if she was not wearing it.. I would think the same about a jacket or anything- Just my opinion... please let me know what you think. If she had her sling- that would be more details that would discredit the "kidnapping".

      Delete
    9. I recalled the dada being missing as soon as I hit publish. Sorry. But everyone in this thread has viable thoughts as to what it could be. Rudy 32 says she is in the area and I am wondering if a local to WV could find out if the dive teams are going in in the area of the found items? Truely I am hoping it is her pajamas. I can think of several ways quickly her pajamas couls be there not involving her being gone. Hope! Hope! Hope!

      Delete
    10. I'm certainly not proficient in forensics, but I highly doubt that an ace bandage, sling, or toddler's blanket that was likely in the water for some four plus months would trigger this "breaking news."

We're talking about the state police crime lab here. A pacifier, sippy cup, ace bandage, soiled diaper, or particular band-aid isn't going to trigger the need for immediate testing. I believe items suitable for crime lab testing would include a tooth, bone, hair, etc. that would fit to that of a 20 month old toddler.

      Delete
    11. That's true PB, but if they reported her missing, with the sling on, they are just going to say they always put her to bed with it on (as odd as that seems). I hope and assume they were questioned about putting her to bed with the sling on, especially where Justin stated she was staring to use her arm and sometimes took the cast off - was the sling even needed at that point? Especially at bed?

      Delete
    12. McKee, that is the one thought I was trying block out of my mind.

      Delete
    13. Mckeekitty, I see your point. Possibly the item(s) was frozen, until recently. That's why clarification as to whether the items were found in the water or land would be helpful. And, what did it mean, in the article, a worker found the items? What kind of worker?? I wonder what kind of worker because, something as small as a tooth or hair, that would probably be found by LE, or a trained eye, may be overlooked by a civilian.

      Delete
    14. John P, I was in Waterville tonight and did not see any sign of dives going on now. Just got back. But the person I know filled me in on the information of the little pathways on the banks of the river. He said when he was younger it was a place to go hang out and sneak a cigarette and sneak some booze after school. Not alot of people paid attention to who goes in and out. The Hathaway building was an old factory that specialized in shirt making and closing in the 90's I believed. Some parts of the building are being utilized as business space and apartments. But I drive by it all the time and pay no attention to the abandoned parts of the building on the riverbanks. I don't drive down Water Street much and have not seen the developed side in a while. I might be going out to Waterville again tomorrow to run errands. I will keep my eyes and ears open.

      Delete
    15. Kit, I believe the dam "sluiceway" behind the Hathaway building is what can be seen on google maps if you look up 10 Water Street and follow that huge building back to the water there is an a rectangle area in white, I think that's what it is. If you are zoomed out far enough you will notice the bridge that connects Waterville and Winslow. Just up from that bridge the water really roars there, I've walked across it before, and never wanted to again. It's conceivable that anything deposited upriver from the bridge or beyond could end up in the sluiceway.

    16. Ruby, I know you were replying to John P, but that would be so great for you to keep your ears and eyes open!

    24. The other part of the Kennebec that they searched was near the Carter Memorial Bridge. It's a little bit further downstream of the Hathaway location. Also the Messalonskie River dumps into the Kennebec closer to Carter Memorial Bridge. They lowered the Messalonskie in the first few days after she was reported missing.

    25. Ruby, from the sounds of what you describe, LE is kinda working back up stream from the CM Bridge in the direction of the ville with the panoramic view of the Kennebec. Is that fair to say, since I tried to piece everything together that you have said about the area.

      Delete
    26. Yes, you got it John P.

We did get some rain recently but the river has been really low. Lots of exposed areas and rock from the river bottom.

Who knows what they have but I've always thought another area to search was the land and grounds near the Lawrence schools complex over in Fairfield. My hunch could be nothing. It's where Justin was taking classes.

    27. I have seen other posters mention searching around the CDL school grounds. I hope LE has already done that as well.

With it having already been sent to the lab, I am hoping we hear something before the end of next month. We were just told a few days ago that evidence was being processed daily or something like that. But I am with you, more this to the front of the pile and give us ANSWERS! Sorry, I'm just nervous and anxious at the same time. My prayers go out to Trista and Ayla one more time tonight.

  29. I have read two versions of the articles about the items found. I first read that the items were found in the river. Then the other article that I read, stated that the items were found behind a building. I am not sure which version of the articles to believe. I hope that the items found, bust this case wide open.

    3. if you go to google maps, type in 10 Water Street, Waterville - there's a long building there that goes back to the water, in the water you'll see a white outlined area, I believe that's the area they are referring to

    4. that area is a mile from Violette Ave.

    5. Oh geez... Well, I didn't realize the river was behind a building, so maybe that is correct - a mixture of both. I would appreciate if someone could clarify also.

    6. Abby, Oh my gosh! Jazzie (from SA), dug up, quite a while ago, that most usually, items/victims are located within a mile of the home (I believe it was a mile, it was either a mile or a few miles, but not very far from the home - I hope she doesn't mind me mentioning her).

      a hangout for druggies

    8. My bf has maintained from the beginning that Ayla was safe and sound, even when I didn't feel she was. I think, in part, that might have been because he's seen how Ayla and following this case has affected me. Awhile ago I asked, again, why he still thought that. He said "they don't seem like they would have a lot of energy or ambition, if someone there hurt her they didn't go too far, and she should have been found by now." :( I feel so sick about this. :(

      Delete
    9. Kit, I didn't read Jazzie's post on SA. I would suppose those victims she was referring to were victims of spontaneous acts? Or somebody wanting to leave and return quickly so as not to be noticed? It seems... impulsive. :(

    11. The Hathaway building is pretty much cozied right up to the Kennebeb River. It's pretty tight. So some of the items could have been on land and/or water. If you look up Google maps (Satellite) you can see how close the building is to the river.

    14. So, this might be a stupid question, but does the water freeze there? Or is it constantly moving (roaring)? I know this might sound stupid, but I have a river very close by that does freeze, sometimes even the water falls freeze.

      Delete
    15. It does. Depends on the winter. This winter was kinda mild up here.

    17. Kit,

I was thinking last night and if it was clothing, if there were tears or holes, the lab may be looking to try and determine the cause of the tearing/cutting of the materials. I am just hoping it is not pieces of a human body, skin/hair/scalp/part of the foot/etc, that was found.

      Delete
    18. I hope so too John. I hope by calling it "items", it is not bodily related (meaning actual body parts), hair or something would be easier to deal with. I'm assuming that if it was bodily related, maybe they wouldn't have said items, but rather maybe just "evidence"? Unless of course LE is trying to not let out TMI.

    19. I saw below where an anon said, "I heard about a week". I am going to keeps my fingers crossed for two things, 1. it is less time then that, and 2. it was multiple articles of clothing and maybe bedding. The Princess Daddy Pajamas and a shoe for example would be a quick indicator to a river worker that they should call the police before disturbing it. Otherwise, I would think the worker would at least fish it out of the water to see what it was.

  30. It surprises me that DHS will drop a kid off with a parent that it doesn't know, and a parent who has never parented. Ayla must have been pretty shaken up that she was taken from everyone she knows, and a brand new environment. Maybe she was distraught, no one familiar.....it's horrifying. It would be a challenge for a child who was even sent to a caring home. It's so devastating.

I live near a mighty river that freezes in the winter, sometimes flooding takes place in the spring and when the water level lowers, spring comes, the river gives up what has been lost.

  37. "We have no false expectations out there," McCausland said when asked whether the items are linked to Ayla Reynolds.

"We don't know if the items are connected, or what this is," he added.

McCausland says a worker found the items in a sluiceway, a channel that handles runoff from the Kennebec River that separates Waterville, where the little girl lived, from Winslow to the east. There's a dam nearby the scene.

    1. whatever it is is significant looking enough for a worker to call the police yesterday, and for the police to announce it may be related to Ayla today... if it was really nothing, they would have held off announcing or wouldn't have said anything at all... it has to be recognizable as something

    2. ITA Abby!

I just don't know what this means fully. I know he saying they don't know yet if the items are connected to Ayla yet, but then it's like a 1/2, incomplete sentence. "...or what this is,".

"We don't know if the items are connected, or what this is," he added.

      Delete
    3. The way he states "or what this is " sounds like it could be something that was put there intentionally to try and mislead them or something other than simple evidence collection.

      Delete
    4. Thanks Jim. That seems to make sense.

I was really drawing a blank because he could have just said they didn't know if it is connected to Ayla yet, but instead he added more to his statement.

Plus, he first notes multiple items, but then seems to switch to singular when saying "this is", instead of "THEY are". Maybe he just refers to the items/evidence as a whole.
