I wrote a post the other day about Justin possibly killing Ayla in order use the insurance money to put a down payment on a Truck to start a business as a truck owner/operator. I think a lot of you thought I was grasping at straws here. I had fully intended to do a follow up post about why I believe that the idea of that is not totally outrageous but then I was sidetracked with drama from another site and this post was put on the back burner.
We don't know the answers to some of the major questions surrounding this case and apparently law enforcement doesn't have it all pieced together yet either or at least one arrest would be made in regards to the case. In a case that is unsolved with a small child unaccounted for, you have to look at everything. Even the most mundane details, the things that seem the most ordinary can have a hidden motive behind them. When there is even one iota of hope that Ayla could still be living and breathing somewhere, no stone can be left unturned.
Phoebe brought up Justin's CDL classes, they have meaning in this case. The revelation of him taking those classes may be completely innocent and only tied to Ayla not seeking medical attention but any word out of any mouth of anyone that is involved is worth investigating.
Truth4Ayla's post Lying By Omission brought up some interesting points and many of you commented that you didn't see the relevance. It established something that is very relevant for this post. Justin wanted Trista to abort, he did not want a baby, whether it was because he knew he wasn't ready, didn't want a baby with someone he didn't love, etc. The reason he didn't want a child doesn't matter. He had unprotected sex and Ayla was conceived and Trista wanted her. Is Justin used to getting what he wants and was he irate that Trista went against his wishes and had Ayla anyway? Probably. Trista has said that Justin has a temper and was verbally abusive. There are indications that he was abusive to Ayla. Did Justin decide that he did not want to pay child support and he also didn't want to be tied to Trista for the rest of his life so he premeditated Ayla's murder? Did he also concoct a plan that he would benefit from her murder if he planned it just right? It is possible. It is no more ridiculous to speculate on this than it is to speculate that Trista sneaked into Justin's house in the middle of the night, unseen and unheard, caused Ayla to bleed in the basement while three people slept on, cleaned it up and left the house without detection.
I know that one of Justin's roommates had recently started a job where he delivered items via truck to Mass. Is that when the seed was planted and the plan started to take shape?
We know that Justin's first visit to see Ayla was according to Trista's timeline was 8/27/11. They went to see the Blue Angels. The first day of Justin's CDL course was 9/6/11. We don't know the enrollment period for the class but it is not likely that Justin signed up for it the day before it started, he had to have thought about, checked around and paid in advance for the class. Did he decide all of this prior to his first visit with Ayla? Did he try to worm his way into Ayla's life for the sole purpose of turning this baby that he did not want in the first place into a financial gain for himself? Why did Justin take a CDL course close to Waterville and his home town and not in Portland where he had been living for the past 5 years? Did Justin already know that he was planning on moving home and that he was eventually going to need to take Ayla there to finish out his plan? We found out from Jeff Hanson that the little stuffed dog Ayla clutched in her hands in the pictures was lost in Lewiston at Ayla's aunt's house and did not make it to Waterville with Ayla so these pictures were taken before Justin obtained physical custody of Ayla. These pictures were from one or more of the five confirmed visits Justin had with Ayla before taking her and not returning her to Trista. In these pictures Justin brought Ayla to Waterville to his mother's house, was he already living there? It appears there is a crib and a toddler bed set up in the pictures, were they both for Gabby or were they prepared for when Ayla came to live with them full time? Were they aware of this well before Trista was mandated to go to rehab?
Trista seemed to think that she was the one who set the stipulation that Justin move in with his mother to care for Ayla, did Justin manipulate Trista into thinking she had control over this when he knew that ultimately he needed Ayla in Waterville? Was this how he gained Trista's trust to some degree?
Justin knew that Derek sold Life Insurance, did Justin ask Derek questions about it and even manipulate Derek into asking him to buy a policy for Ayla so he would have Derek's testimony that he approached Justin about the life insurance?
Why kill a baby for the $25,000 needed to put a down payment on a Tractor Trailer Truck? Why was is so important? It would seem petty and materialistic to most people, we would never value an object over the life of our child. Justin isn't most people.
Justin and Courtney Roberts had dated for awhile. Courtney appears to have jealousy issues towards Trista. Who wants their boyfriend being tied to another woman with whom they have had an intimate relationship with? Courtney had been cheated on by a past boyfriend, the father or Ayden, and expressed on her myspace account that she hated men. It is likely that she had trust issues and would not want Justin alone with Trista even if it was to just see Ayla. Courtney was probably seething at the relationship between the two. Trista stated on her timeline that Justin only wanted to visit Ayla at Trista's apartment if she was alone. Was Justin trying to weasel his way into Ayla's life by sweet talking her? Was Courtney aware and desperate to go along with any plan of Justin's to get Trista and Ayla out of his life for good and when Justin came up the prospect of being able to provide for them with his life insurance/truck driving scheme was Courtney a willing participant and that is why she has refused a lie detector and not come forward and told the police what really happened? Was the broken arm the first failed attempt to make it appear to be an accidental death? When the actual deed happened, were the participants not convinced that it would appear accidental and concocted the fake abduction story? Was the original plan supposed to be to claim accidental death and then the indemnity clause on the life insurance policy would kick in? $50,000 would buy a tractor trailer truck outright.
When you factor in the drug angle it is almost scary. Courtney's sister was arrested with a large cache of drugs. How involved in the drug dealing/drug abuse were Justin and Courtney? Courtney lived with Brianna in the house that was raided. Courtney's whole family has had their own run ins with the law. Was drug dealing the family business? Did Justin see how much money Brianna was bringing in and want a piece of the action?
Was the purchase of a Tractor Trailer Truck going to be the means by which to acquire large amounts of drugs and cross state lines with them undetected? Were Justin, Courtney, and Brianna looking at the big picture and seeing dollar signs? A lot of dollar signs...
Drug Trafficking is a booming business with the potential to make an obscene amount of money. One of the most popular ways to transport drugs across state and country lines is have the drugs concealed amongst the items a truck driver regularly transports. Did Justin, Courtney, and Brianna want a piece of the pie? Were Phoebe, Elisha, and Derek in on it or were they just manipulated by Justin? Do drugs play a bigger part in this then we know? Was this a premeditated murder that took months of planning and manipulation on the part of Justin, Courtney, and Elisha?
There is still an unclaimed reward in the amount of $30,000 leading to the whereabouts of Ayla Reynolds, anyone with information is asked to call 624-7076 or 680-4700
